Central Park West Apartment Renovation - Projects - Baird Architects

CENTRAL PARK WEST APARTMENT RENOVATION

Located in the Majestic, a 1930s Landmarks preserved building on Central Park West, this 3,400sf, full gut apartment renovation provides 360-degree views of New York City. The primary intention of this project was to open the perimeter to abundant natural light and allow the city and the picturesque seasonal scenery of Central Park to assume the backdrop. Interior rooms are offset from the periphery, giving the space a more open feeling and maximizing light. We designed discrete pocket doors throughout the apartment that create the ability to enclose a room depending on its use. When these partitions are left open, the views remain uninhibited.
