Designed for a young, active family, this four-story brownstone in Park Slope underwent an extensive renovation. Elements throughout the townhouse work to fuse the family’s modern, playful aesthetic with selected historical architectural details. The garden floor, comprised of a comfortable family room and guest quarters, opens up to a landscaped garden in the rear yard. A central stair with intricate millwork winds its way up through the center of the building, providing a strong backbone and tying together the parlor floor, the master suite floor, and the children’s floor. Bringing light to the core of the townhouse, the building culminates with a glass skylight and access to a rooftop terrace that celebrates the view.
